Come out for what is quickly becoming a staple event of Godiva Week. That's right, the Village Pub Tour 2006. We will be visiting bars in Toronto's gay village centred at Church and Wellesley. Surely, this year will be the biggest tour ever. All students are welcome to join us on the tour.

The tour will be held on the evening of Tuesday, January 10th from 8:00PM to late. We will start at SUDS and eventually head out en masse to the village on foot. This a 19+ event, so please bring your ID.

SUDS is the engineering pub and is located in the basement of the Sandford Fleming Building.
The polls closed for our most recent election this past friday after LGBTOUT's General Meeting and our new University Affairs Coordinator is...........

.........DAN-ARWIN C.

Congratulations to both Dan and Kal for running an awesome campaign and answering some tough questions at our General Meeting. Both have already contributed a lot of time to LGBTOUT this year and I'm sure they will both remain important members of this group.

I am pleased to announce that we have two candidates running in this year's election for the University Affairs Coordinator Position. I am looking forward to a spirited, good-natured campaign and I would like to thank both of the candidates for stepping forward to run for the position.

The two candidates are:

* Dan-Arwin C.
* Kal K.

From Monday, Decmber 5th through Wednesday, December 7th, the candidates will have a chance to campaign. This could include setting up a poster in the Drop-In Center and/or posting a candidate statement on the UTPRIDE message board www.utpride.net/viewtopic.php?t=1198

The candidates will have the opportunity to make a 3-minute speech at the upcoming LGBTOUT General Meeting, to be held on Friday, Decmber 9th, at 5pm in ES1042. Be sure to attend if you want to vote and/or ask the candidates any questions.

There are two ways to vote in this election:

1) On Thursday, December 8th, from 12pm-5pm at the LGBTOUT Drop-In Center (73 St. George St.).

or...

2) On Friday, Decmber 9th at the LGBTOUT General Meeting. The GM begins at 5pm and will take place in the Earth Sciences conference room (ES1042).

The ballot will include a 'none of the above' option for each position, as there is no such thing as election by acclaimation in LGBTOUT.

For more information, visit www.lgbtout.com/election2005.shtml

Good luck to all of the candidates!
